Lakeland Ceramic Utility Knife 10cm Blade

Product number: 16288

Ideal for jobs requiring fine work like scoring fish skin or piercing the skin of a roast to insert sprigs of herbs and for delicate cutting tasks, this 10cm (4") Ceramic Utility Knife is great to handle because it’s so light and will stay sharp for much longer than a steel equivalent.

10cm blade.

About our Ceramic Knife range

Crafted from zirconium ceramic for durability, the mirror-polished blades of our ceramic knives are 50% harder than steel knives, will stay sharp about 10 times longer and probably never need sharpening at all.

Being ceramic, they won’t rust or discolour your fruit or vegetables – which makes them perfect for preparing salads – and, because they’re really light, they’re a joy to handle, too. Each one comes with its own protective sheath.

"At last!"

A ceramic knife to equal my expensive Japanese one. Shall definitely be adding more of this excellent and reasonably priced range. Good old Lakeland.

"Brilliant item"

star star star star star

This is my first ceramic knife and it's absolutely brilliant. I've never been so impressed with an item. It slices through food without any pressure applied and glides as though going through soft butter! Cuts tomatoes perfectly and onions without tears!! I'm totally hooked and just going to order some other sizes. Thank you Lakeland

"Amazing!"

I can only repeat what others have said. This knife is amazing and I shall certainly be replacing all my old knives with ceramic ones. I've never found a knife that slices onions so thinly and with barely any tears!!

"ceramic knife snapped!"

star star star star star_border

I bought this knife, together with the 8cm one, within the year and when using it today to peel a cucumber it snapped, just an inch below the tip. I always wash after every use and place in sleeve provided. Never in the dishwasher, why. I absolutely love using them, so sharp and very nearly cut myself, when new, but have got the hang of it now. They are superb and was thinking of buying the longer ones, before Xmas. Whether this is the drawback with ceramic, I don't know.

"Impressed but disappointed"

star star star star_border star_border

Loved the knives VERY fussy who uses them - disappointed that although well looked after and kept on their sheath a chip appeared on the point. Still works well but looks awful

support_agent A note from the team

Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the blade chipped but ceramic knives are more susceptible to chipping than than steel ones. We'll be in touch shortly.
