KitchenAid Artisan Blender Empire Red 5KSB5553BER

I bought this replace a useless other blender. This one is better in every way possible - and I love that it comes with a food jar too, as sometimes I need to us the blender for two different things. The jug and lid are dishwasher safe and the blade section isn't, but it is quick work to rinse it in hot water after use, before the food dries on. Would recommend to anyone wanting an attractive, powerful, easy-to-use blender.

I have just replaced my old Kenwood blender which I have had for approx 15 years with this FANTASTIC blender. It was purchased yesterday and I have used it today, it is truly superb!. I have other KitchenAid items all of which are fabulous This is why I have bought this item as I know it will be great to use. Would highly recommend this.

Really recommend this blender. It is robust and solidly built with a powerful motor, with settings for anything from a smoothie to crushed ice. Very simple to use, and best of all easy to clean and take apart (unlike many other blenders). Although it is not the cheapest on the market, it is well worth the price for the thoughtful design, robust build and ease of use.

Following the reviews, I decided to splash out and replace my Kenwood Blender. What a disappointment !! Firstly the glass jug was loose on the base and did not lock. The first time the unit was operated fluid escaped from the lid and the fruit came out lumpy, even the banana! I tried it again and the same happened, even with the smaller jug. I tried to clean both, following the instructions of a little water and soap but this ended with more water all over my work top. A machine costing £148 should be able to blend without leaving lumps. Taking it back for a refund/Sage 0 Stars
