Solidly made from stainless steel with an aluminium tilting head, its powerful but quiet 10 speed, direct drive motor can handle larger batches and heavier mixing tasks just as easily as lighter, smaller mixing tasks and the patented ‘planetary’ mixing action means that your ingredients are mixed quickly and thoroughly every time. Simple, intuitive controls help make it suitable for novice and accomplished cooks alike and its single attachment hub makes changing attachments very straightforward. It comes with a 4.8 litre stainless steel bowl with ergonomic handle as well as a detachable one-piece pouring shield made from transparent Lexan, which acts as a feed chute and cover so you can add ingredients through the feed chute while mixing without any accidental splashing. This model comes with three attachments – a stainless steel 6 wire whisk with aluminium head for gently folding air into eggs and egg whites, whipping light, fluffy cream and making dips and sauces, an aluminium dough hook with non-stick nylon coating for mixing and kneading the perfect yeast dough for bread, pizza and pasta, and an aluminium Artisan® flat beater with non-stick nylon coating for heaving mixing tasks such as making cakes, frostings or even mashing potatoes – and a wide range of other optional attachments are also available.

This is an expensive piece of kit, but you get what you pay for and the quality here is amazing. Beautifully designed, can handle small and big jobs. I bought it principally for making bread dough, but now use it regularly for cakes and pastry (the results are excellent). It's a joy to use, easy to clean and looks good too.
Absolutely brilliant! I have waited for ages to get one of these and now I have it has not been a disappointment. It's particularly good value at the moment as it comes with a leaflet which entitles any purchaser of an Artisan stand mixer to apply for a free glass bowl (worth about £60)! I have just received mine. All in all an excellent product.
I bought this mixer after some consideration. My sister has the pink one and I liked it a lot, plus I really enjoy cooking. I bought this from the Lakeland store at the Good Food Show and it was brilliant as it was on offer. Since getting it home it has been used lots. I'd like to get the Ice Cream add on and possibly the flat head beater which scrapes the mixture off the side of the bowl but the attachments are expensive. The machine itself is quiet, sturdy and well made. It's very easy to wash and can be put in the dishwasher although I've not yet.
This is a professional quality machine made by the company who make the mixers seen in many professional kitchens, which is reflected by the quality of the build. It is well designed and comes in a wide range of colours.There is a wide range of accessories to enhance or transform your cooking and baking. It performs superbly and will last beyond expexpectations. An investment piece, which will be an excellent addition to your kitchen.
Recently bought one of these after trying to save money and buying an inferior product that was rubbish! I am very pleased with it - except for the splash guard which is use nor ornament. Even on no.1 the flour flies out of the mixing bowl. So much so that I feel I should add extra to recipes to account for this. Does anyone know if artisan do a guard that actually fits the bowl snuggly to stop flour/sugar etc escaping.
