Love this toaster, looks very stylish on the worktop & the slots are extra wide as stated for thicker breads or bagels etc. The colour is really nice & bright. It's quite a bulky square toaster but I like it as it suits my family's requirements. Easy to clean too.
This is the first truly white kitchen appliance I've seen for some time. The controls feel well constructed and not at all flimsy. The crumb trays are impressively easy to remove unlike most toasters I've had in the past. The slots take crumpet width items easily but like most toasters these days the slot length and depth is a bit too tight for many loaves. The sides get warm but not hot; the only hot area is the chrome around the slots.
Bought this toaster as normally have no probs with Lakeland products, but this product fails to live up to the description. The top of a normal standard size Warburtons white sliced bread fails to toast at the top inch/inch and a half even though the whole slice pops down because of the position of the heating elements. Yes, it toasts thicker bread but have to turn my toast upside down after first toast to get the whole slice brown. Also only seems to toast half a bagel (half of 1 side) and not whole side when using bagel button!
