No fiddly tabs and nothing to line up – just push down the lid to lock with a tight seal, and then push the two tabs to open.
Rebecca from our Buying Team has been testing these food boxes at home and she’s delighted with their performance – no leaking, great quality, really useful sizes, and they don’t swallow up all the fridge space. And because of their crystal clear, high-clarity sides, she can see at a glance what’s inside – even when they’ve been in the freezer for ages.
They do exactly what they say on the box, and when ‘pushed’ shut, the lid creates a 100% airtight, watertight seal – even when we filled them with liquid and did the ‘shake test’, not a drop was spilled. When you want to open them, just push the two tabs on the sides and the lids simply pop off. Freezer safe, and microwave safe with the lids removed, they’re just the thing for storing and reheating lunches and leftovers.

These are brilliant containers and superb for travel. I much prefer these to the Lock & Lock style which can be difficult to snap shut and hard for children to cope with. Problems lay in wait for the unwary if you don't listen for the snap shut sound!
I've picked this up a few times accidentally by the sides and the lid has come off, they're not as good as the lock & lock.
I have three of these boxes and like your other reviewer I too have picked them up by the sides and the top comes off and I too prefer Lock & Lock which have served me well for a long time.
