Sweet Treats Cake Pop Maker

Hi - My daughter Kate, who is now 10, was given one of these cake pop makers for her 9th birthday, in May last year. She has used it perhaps 20 or 25 times, mainly to make cakes for friends at the local sailing club. It has now failed completely: the orange light comes on; then after two minutes or so, the green light comes on, but the device remains stone-cold. It seems that the device is designed to last for only a little longer than the guarantee duration of a year, despite the light usage. So, if Lakeland decides to offer a similar product again, beware !

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT! but it is quite dangerous if you have young children because the plates that they are cooking on get really hot as well as the handle. Also SOMETIMES YOU DO GET UNEVEN BAKES sometimes even raw/doughy. The green light system is a tad confusing. Overall brilliant yummy cakes that you should get for in my opinion 6+. I would buy it again for sure!!!!!!!!

1. Product looks great and good build quality. 2. Makes even and symmetrical cake pops. 3. No 'doughy' centres or uncooked parts. 4. Greatly reduced time in comparison to baking the caking then making into balls. 5. The end mould takes a bit longer to brown, by about 30 sec however I included this point to give an all round review. Overall brilliant product would recommend, don't hesitate just buy it !!!

Bought this to make cakes with my 30 month old - 'my help my Granny'- grand-daughter. She loves baking with me but also loves eating what we make, so I bought the cake pop maker to try to reduce the amount eaten. It's worked, is very easy to use with quick results, right from the first batch we had perfect pops! We now half the mixture to make just a dozen. Our decoration hasn't moved on from a bit of icing and sprinkles but I'm sure that will come! One suggestion, Lakeland, is to stock re-useable plastic sticks. Kinder on the environment to be able to recycle as well as on the pocket!

I am a child myself who loves baking new things! I was looking through Lakeland and as soon as I saw this I knew this would make a great new idea for my cake stalls. I was amazed by how great this works! It makes PERFECT circular balls of cake and tastes delicious! They make a perfect treat. Thank you Lakeland for this amazing purchase!
