Seemingly strong and up to the job, trying to cut through raw chicken is a nightmare. The handles are smooth - and quickly become so slick that it is impossible to apply pressure. I spent an unhappy time this morning trying to portion and de-bone three chickens today. Back to the old kitchen scissors, methinks. "Shears" are now destined for the garden as secateurs!
