Lakeland Electric Meat Mincer 5 "Electric Mincer" Kirsteen Coombes 14 August 2019 Bought this gadget as too lazy to use a manual one. main use is to make burgers & sausages. Works well overall only issue is stringy sinew clogged up the chopper blade and the disk, I used the medium disk. You then have to dismantle, clean, reassemble before you can continue. Tried to add bone marrow to the burger mix but that did not work well as probably too soft. I minced chuck steak and brisket but would probably use a slightly leaner meat in future.
Lakeland Electric Meat Mincer 5 "No regrets" Mr Seaman 17 April 2018 What price a good sausage eh? Then how much more for them to be made to your own exacting taste? If you also buy the premium skins as I did, you won't spend ages chewing through the typically hard skins as on most shop bought bangers these days. Have used this machine 3 times now, and unless you are particularly dexterous, two pairs of hands will make it twice as easy - and twice the fun! The recipe book says to use the fine hole plate but we found this resulted in a smooth pate texture so used the medium hole plate thereafter giving much better results. Very well built machine, 5 star. A note from the team Thank you for placing your review. I'm delighted you've had great results using this meat mincer! Thanks again for your feedback.
Lakeland Electric Meat Mincer 5 "Quite Good as a Mincer" Odette Scott 21 January 2018 Bought to process venison into sausages and burgers. Two batches in (2.5 kg mixes) and the mincer is holding up well. Only had one issue when stringy sinew clogged up the chopper blade - tip here is to constantly fed material down the chute. Its a bit noisy in use and I was worried about the fairly low duty cycle but so far, in using it just for mincing the thermal cut-out has not tripped (I use a separate sausage stuffer). The business end fits and removes easily and is easy to clean. The motor housing wipes clean easily and as its white, you can easily see where its got dirty during use.
