what a great gadget, bought this along with the veg peeler and the juliene peeler, and would recommend all three, this one peels tomatoes so well no more blanching in boiling water for me :-)
This veg peeler is mega good! Not only is it so easy to use (sharp though, so mind your fingers) but it peels just the merest skin off so you do not waste any of the veg. Wonderful for courgettes, carrots, apples, beetroot, potatoes, etc., etc., I JUST LOVE MINE - WOULD MAKE A FAB GIFT TOO FOR A FRIEND! 10 out of 10! FIVE STARS!
My husband bought this product and was very pleased with it. However, as I was clearing away, part of my thumb got caught in the grater. I could not extract it because the edges of the grater are so sharp they were firmly embedded in my thumb. I eventually extracted it by pouring liquid soap on my thumb and the peeler. The peeler is now in the dustbin. It happened so easily that I think it's far too much of a hazard when I have grandchildren around.
