"Crazy, but it works."

I bought one shaped like this from a highstreet retailer some years back and many friends have been puzzled by it and couldn't believe it could ever mash potato properly........ until they saw me do just that. It's the easiest masher I've ever used and of course the design makes it a doddle to clean. The other retailer doesn't do this any more, so I was delighted to find it here as I want to get one for my son and daughter-in-law's joint stocking at Christmas! (Don't laugh - they just love practical gifts! My son asked for a decent vacuum cleaner for his 40th birthday!)
