Mary Berry’s® Hollandaise Sauce

I bought this as a store cupboard item for when time was short. It was awful, both cold and warm, it tasted rancid but had a very long use by date. Ended in the bin.

If you like a lot of vinegar then you'll love this. It is inedible, it will strip the enamel off your teeth. Should come with a health warning. It's about time these so-called chefs were forced to eat their own food. Don't buy this ,it's basically salad cream with vinegar, lots of vinegar. In fact it's more like vinegar with a drop of salad cream. Awful. I have rated it 1 star only because I can't put 0.

I expected more and I'm not surprised the product is now reduced, probably to get rid of it. It tasted more like a sharp mayonnaise and I guess the problem is you just can't replicate a good hollandaise in a jar. I only bought it because I was going on holiday and didn't want to make it from scratch but I threw it away in the end.

Tried all the other jars for sale in every big supermarket. Some are good and some are not. A few years ago we were camping and forgot to take the hollandaise. Shopping in the towns small supermarket found none. Then walking around Lakeland following the better half I saw this. Next morning for breakfast I was having the best Eggs Benedict ever. I was in heaven. I now buy in bulk every time we visit Lakeland. Sorry I could only give it a 5

Purchased this sauce, thinking that it should be really nice! It was too vinegary and definitely no hint of lemon. Only used half the jar, but will not use the rest.
