Silicone Microwave Chocolate Melting Pot

I used the melting pot for the first time today. I have a 700w microwave which does not offer seconds. only 0 - 1 etc. I used 100 grm Premium Extra Dark Chocolate 90% Cocoa Solids cut up into small pieces and put the lid on loosely.I set the microwave on medium for appx 30 secs but the pot wasn't even warm. I set the microwave on high and gave it another 30 secs. Just warm, I stirred it gently with a long handled ice cream spoon and gave it another 30 secs. Perfect, made 6 chocolates, all ok. Will try this for topping chocolate cakes later, can't wait.

I bought it yesterday as I'd read the reviews and thought it would be useful when making yet another chocolate train. Previously I had melted chocolate in a glass bowl over a saucepan and transferred it to a plastic jug, which resulted in a lot of mess and wastage. However, with the melting pot I could pour the exact amount of chocolate into the mould which eliminated the need to trim any excess once the chocolate had set. The reviews were very helpful as I took care to melt the chocolate in 10 second bursts which is definitely the way to do it. Thank you Lakeland for another winning product.

I have used the melting pot for the first time today. I read the reviews before I used it which made me think perhaps it would be a bit tricky! But I found it so simple, a perfect little pot which does exactly what it is meant to. The care taken with the microwave timing was no more than I would do if I was melting it in a glass bowl. If you microwave chocolate in any kind of pot or cup it would burn if you heat it too long or too high. I also found it easy to wash without even bothering to turn it inside out. So I love it, Great product Lakeland, I would like another one perhaps a bit larger
