Green Microwave Whisk

I sent for a green whisk so that it would be easily visible in my utensil drawer. I loved it and used it daily. It totally transformed my microwave scrambled eggs. But the end has just snapped off. I blamed my husband, as he was washing it at the time (sorry, Darling) but now see that someone else has had the same problem. I wonder if it is the colour that is the problem as reviews for the other colours don't mention this. So, because I found it so useful, I am buying some in other colours and keeping my fingers crossed. Interestingly, it is always my green and yellow pegs which break first.

I really like these whisks. I like being able to leave it in the bowl when microwaving. The head does fall off but only after a lot of use. I have gone through quite a few but I will keep buying them. At the price they are it is worth it.

A great idea but just not strong enough. It was only used for thinner sauces but it still snapped in two. I wouldn't dare use it for porridge!

I brought 2 green microwave whisks, so that they would stand out from my other cooking utensiles, after dropping my original clear whisk on the kitchen tiles, I normally use them for porridge, gravy, making scrambled eggs, but using one to make thin custard for french friends, it went soft on me whilst stirring the custard and then the end broke off, my microwave is 800w, and they are not put in the dishwasher. Is the colored plastic not as strong as my old clear whisk, which beat anything including a rather stiff porridge. I will use the other one, until it breaks, then back to the metal one.
