Stainless Steel poachpod®

I must say I was surprised by the previous reviewer's comments. I have had no problems at all releasing perfectly poached eggs. I bought one to try out and find the product excellent so am going to buy a couple more. I have never really liked silicone so a stainless steel one is a welcome improvement as far as I am concerned. I added butter once and cooked several eggs in a row without having to rebutter the bowl so not sure why the previous commentator had problems.

Not being a fan of "plastic" items in the kitchen I was really pleased to find these. The eggs were cooked to perfection and easy to remove. Like a previous reviewer I bought one to test it and I will be buying more.

These are brilliant! They are soooo easy to use and cook PERFECT poached eggs. Use a large saute pan with vented lid filled with an inch of water. Bring water to boil, then simmer. Place the Poach Pods in the pan, cover with the lid and exactly 4 minutes later, hey presto – perfect poached eggs. It’s child’s play!

I thought I'd write something as I feel these should have at least 4 stars! I'd given up eating poached eggs as it was so difficult to wash up the pan afterwards (not to mention removing the eggs from the sections) but I find these excellent. The eggs come out easily and they go in the dishwasher no problem and actually come out clean! You just have to keep an eye that the water doesn't boil into them and ruin the eggs. Other than that they are brilliant - they are rather pricey I feel so I'm buying them gradually! But hopefully worth it in the long run.

I have bought microwave poaching gadgets, silicone ones with not good results until the stainless steel ones. Just a little olive oil brushed inside the pod, when done I run a teaspoon round the top of the egg and it turns out the best poached eggs ever. No sticking or mess, easy to wash up, I can't recommend them enough.
