Swan Teasmade with Radio

I bought this to replace an old teasmade on whch the switch has broken and a radio alarm teamaker which only made a few mouthfulls of tea each. I almnost didn't get it when I saw the reviews but am so glad I did. The radio is fine for what we need - and there is an aerial. tea making facilities are fine, time controls are a great improvement to the old teasmade, the light is a bonus as in can stand in place of a bedside light. Yes the display is bright and the dial hard to read at an angle but these are minor and there is no annoying tick. Excellent purchase!

I am really dissapointed with this product. I managed to use it once to clean it but then it did not work. Also when I push the light button the teasmade moves. It feels very unstable.

My mum thought I was joking when I said I'd bought a Teasmade 'They used to give those as retirement presents,' she said. But with two young children, I would never make it back to bed with my cuppa. The item is well made and looks like it will last a while; the teapot is good quality and doesn't dribble; and the tea is lovely - although it took a few days for the 'new' taste to go. Unfortunately the radio is really not worth the extra money. It is FM/AM only (not DAB) and there is no aerial, and nowhere to attach one so I tend to get woken by white noise most mornings.
