By extracting all the air and keeping the freshness locked in, leftovers and just-bought food can be kept as fresh as the day they are stored, without fear of freezer burn, and in a fraction of the space a box would take up. It’s a real time-saver, and so versatile too; you can prepare meals in advance, freeze in FoodSaver bags and then defrost in the microwave before removing from the bags for easy reheating by boiling or microwave, or even marinade in minutes rather than hours.
With built-in roll storage and cutter, this version is even easier to use than before as there’s nothing to line up – once your food is in the bag, just put the open end into the machine, press the button and FoodSaver will automatically suck out all the air and seal the bag.

I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. I wish I hadn't waited. It is really very good. I make my own sausages, black pudding, haggis etc. Food saver is perfect for my packing and storage needs. It is easy to use and doesn't take up too much room to store away. I'm really happy with it.
This clever machine was bought for my wife, who says it has changed her life! She has tried it on just about anything and finds that fresh strawberries and fresh mushrooms last 10 days after vacuuming and keeping in the fridge and they don't get squashed - it works like a dream!!
I purchased a Lakeland foodsaver and it is the best purchase I have ever made for sealing and storing food items. It works in seconds seals the food in air tight. Meat, gravy, chilli's currys I could go on and on the great thing is as well as items that will now last a lot longer in the freezer we also have a lot more room as it seals the bags air tight and extracts the air making the bags smaller to fit in the freezer. We just love it.
The foodsaver is absolutely brilliant! It stores everything really fresh, and it's so simple to use. Our fridge is full of little sealed packages now.
This is a brilliant machine. Better than the Save a Meal but I think it is the same company that make it. This new model is far superior. The indicator lights are brilliant, it is faster and I like the roll storage and cutter incorporated within the machine. The noise level is slightly quiter than the previous model. Who cares about noise when you are saving food. I am 100% pleased with this vacuum sealer. Like previous comments I think the bags/rolls are overpriced but you have to compare that with throwing away food. I just hope it lasts longer than the Save-a- Meal machine - 2 years!
