"Not so Super" star star star_border star_border star_border I used the Superchef during the first week of purchase for steaming and loved the results. Things went a little downhill after that - the staff in the shop told me I could cook a whole chicken in the Superchef so I thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, the instruction manual is very, very poor - its definitely trial and error! I cooked the chicken on the oven setting not realising that I had to take the tray out of the bottom (it doesn't state in the manual that you need to do so). The end result was a lovely cooked chicken but the tray's feet had melted. Improve the manual please! support_agent A note from the team Thanks for taking the time to write your review. "VIDEO REQUIRED" star star star star star_border The Manual is flaky!! A video is required to support it. Simple things like the Valve Indicator... The Rice Settings... Clock and Time Settings could be dealt with so easily with video. The negative Reviews shown here would disappear too. A 5-Star product with a 1-Star Manual.
"Brilliant Little Machine" star star star star star I was given this as a gift and I am delighted with it. I have used stew mode to cook red cabbage, gammon cooked in cola and navarin of lamb - all delicious. I have slow cooked lamb shanks and they were divine. A hot meal when I come in from work - what's not to like!
"Wow! Superchef is Superb" star star star star star We have had the Superchef for around ten days and my wife can hardly get a look in. I have tried out some of the recipes and also some of my own using most of the programmes. We have never eaten so well or so often, and my wife did manage to get hold of it to bake the lemon sponge cake. It is a superb frier, cooker or oven or steamer or heater and everything else it does. Congratulations to Lakeland for giving us an item which will be in daily use and providing variety. We prefer rape seed oil to olive oil, but that is just a matter of taste. We are amazed at the wonders of 'Superchef'
"Not Lakeland's normal quality" star star star_border star_border star_border Disappointed with this item. It is poor quality and the instruction booklet is useless. I was so looking forward to this but i am disappointed. Badly designed and very hard to understand how to use it. Maybe if we could get past that, it might turn out ok. Pity Lakeland wouldn't spend a bit of time and effort on producing a proper manual and recipe book. what's the point in inventing an gadget if you don't include a proper manual on how to use it. Waste of time.
