Like having a buddy in the kitchen, this multi-functional, innovative cooker is the ultimate time-saving device – all you need to do is add the ingredients, then select one of the 11 cooking functions and press start. SuperChef takes care of everything else, whether you’re baking, steaming, stewing, shallow frying, boiling... it also has a dedicated rice and pasta function, and adjusts the cooking temperature as necessary, cleverly avoiding the risk of burnt ingredients. I was given this as a gift and I am delighted with it. I have used stew mode to cook red cabbage, gammon cooked in cola and navarin of lamb - all delicious. I have slow cooked lamb shanks and they were divine. A hot meal when I come in from work - what's not to like!
I bought my superchef yesterday (28/4/12) & I made soup which tasted fab, baked a cake which was so light & fluffy. It was a chicken dish next then to top it of a bread & butter pudding which was better than cooking it in the oven. Im definately recommending this superchef to family & friends
Have had the super chef for approx 3 weeks now and in this time used it EVERY day and tried all the functions with various recipes - both new and old favourites, its just fantastic... Timings are just right and takes all the guess work out of timing and absolutely everything has turned out just correct temprature and perfectly cooked - I agree with other folks - instruction/recipe book could be better - however as with everything best to"dive" in and just try is the best option! Is a little dear -Cost wise - but feel well worth the money - no saucepans - no juggling on the hob....
I have used the bake, stew, fry and slow cooking facilities on this equipment and have found it to be very good indeed, freeing up much time in the kitchen and taking away the hassle of constantly checking the dish. The lemon cake in the recipe book is lovely. My only slight reservation is not being able to turn off the keep warm facility unless you are actually there, fine if you want to serve the cake as a dessert, but not so good if you expect to find it cold enough to decorate when you get home. On the whole a useful addition to the kitchen.
We have had the Superchef for around ten days and my wife can hardly get a look in. I have tried out some of the recipes and also some of my own using most of the programmes. We have never eaten so well or so often, and my wife did manage to get hold of it to bake the lemon sponge cake. It is a superb frier, cooker or oven or steamer or heater and everything else it does. Congratulations to Lakeland for giving us an item which will be in daily use and providing variety. We prefer rape seed oil to olive oil, but that is just a matter of taste. We are amazed at the wonders of 'Superchef'
