Dress Your Cupcakes

Fab book, lots of great designs & step by step foolproof instructions. If you can make things from Playdough you can do these. The recipes can rely quite heavily on melting hard boiled sweets or by using chews & other childrens sweets so you sometimes have to buy specifically according to the recipe, as I don't tend to keep those things around, but a bit of planning is all that's needed. It has designs that will appeal to all ages of children & it takes you through the techniques you need. I recommend it to you wholeheartedly :)

Having never really decorated cupcakes properly before, I thought I'd give this product a go. I think the designs are great, but they're pretty fiddly and difficult if you're a novice or fairly inexperienced decorator. Part of the problem was the actual recipes provided in the book - I found the cakes themselves, and the guides to make icing, provided disappointing results after multiple tries - however, this may be due to my oven/baking skills. I'd say a good product overall, with some fun ideas, however stick to your own recipe for cupcakes, and be prepared to put some serious effort in!!
