"delicious"

I have been making the marmalade for selling at fetes at work for 3 or 4 years. Delighted to find the strawberry jam earlier this year and am buying more as it was so popular.

"Great Jam!"

This review is for an older version of this product

Bought this because I thought it would be a nice change from making jam from scratch. Read reviews so added some strawberries.Easy to make but with the added fruit does take twice as long to reach setting point. My husband doesn't normally eat much jam but he demolished a whole jar on crackers as soon as it was cold because he liked it so much. I have had to make 2 more batches as all my family have been stealing it! I make a lot of jam but this has been by far the best. Just love it. I added slightly less water to make up for the added fruit on my third batch to speed setting.l

"Perfectly nice strawberry jam"

I have read the many negative reviews for this product so I would like to share my experience. Strawberry jam is notoriously difficult to set as it is a fruit low in pectin. I added some chopped fresh strawberries (two small punnets), the juice of a lemon, which cuts through the sweetness and adds pectin and jam sugar with pectin. After thirty minutes I had five jars of nicely coloured strawberry jam. The next day it had set perfectly and it tastes good. It is a product I would use again, maybe next time with the addition of rhubarb.

"Easy peasy but don't forget the lemon squeezy"

I put in half jam sugar (the sort that has pectin in it) and half ordinary granulated and it came to a set before the instructions said so it made a good quantity and was a nice red colour still. No one complained about the texture, easier to spread in sarnies and it smells and tastes of strawberry. I am tempted to try making granita with it as it will save me having to liquidize the fruit. Please Lakeland, any chance of other flavours? Blackberry would be wonderful as I hate picking from all those scratchy brambles.

"Great for Children"

My two boys loved making the jam and love eating it, we prefer without bits so its perfect with us I mad it with Jam sugar and had to cook it for a bit longer than recommended but it set lovely and doesn't last long when made.
