I always used to buy loaves from the bakery counter of my favourite store and ask for them to be sliced in their machine. However, like so many other people I started baking my own bread during lockdown, and discovered that my so called bread knives were not up to the task. Having read reviews on Lakeland I chose this bread knife and am absolutely delighted with it. Now I can slice a loaf perfectly - no more squashing it!
Best bread knife ever. Glides through crusty bread and doesn't tear up soft bread. Well balanced and a pleasure to use.
Cut through the hard crust of a sourdough then also managed to cut lovely straight slices through the soft bread. Great price for a sharp bread knife.
