"Very Disappointing Timer" star star_border star_border star_border star_border This timer feels solid, but has many faults. It falls on its face at the slightest touch. The minute and second buttons on the back are easily altered by mistake when picking the timer up. The bleeper is simply not loud enough. The display is highly directional - unless you have it pointing directly at your eyes (which in reality means putting it on a shelf close to eye level), it is so faint as to be difficult to read. With so many faults, I am surprised that Lakeland offer this item - and that Heston Blumenthal is prepared to endorse it. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for your feedback. "bleeper" star star star star_border star_border My daughter bought me a kitchen timer for Christmas and I have ruined two dishes so far because the bleeper is so quiet. I rate this as three. Reason being the job of a timer is to tell you the time is up.
"The silent timer" star star star_border star_border star_border I have not been able to hear this timer on a number of occasions, thought it was me ( been on the deaf side) The warning beep is very weak, the clock is not even close to keeping time as of today, the clock was adjusted when the clocks went back, and is now 6 Min fast. I am sure that Mr Heston Blumenthal would not stand for such a clock in his kitchen. I do agree with other peoples comments on poor handling of the controls, I have had to get a son to do the adjusting of time Ect. his grin says it all, having to help the old man out. "Stainless Steel Timer." star star star star star_border Great little timer. However it is easily tipped over on to it's face,I extended the base with plastic feet extending about 35 mm back and front which I secured with double sided sticky tape
"Not good for klutzs or butterfingers" star star star star_border star_border I'm loathe to give this a bad review since Lakeland sent it as a replacement for the dire 4-way timer that had broken. BUT it's not great. The start/stop button is not easy to operate - you have to poke it with the end of your finger in just the right place to stop it. The timer sits on a fairly narrow base which you have to set it down on fairly carefully otherwise it topples over. Mine has toppled over onto my slate floor one time too many and now it refuses to beep.
