Prestige Stainless Steel Jug Kettle

I ordered this item and when it arrived, I was disappointed to find that it did not work - as dead as a doornail. I contacted Lakeland and they did a marvellous job getting a replacement to me within 48 hours. When I tried the second kettle, it was rocking like crazy on the base. The core plug on the base is too high and the kettle is just balancing on the plug. I have had to put four furniture leg buttons on the base to stop the kettle rocking. I have always thought that Prestige was a premium brand, how wrong can you be? Think twice before you buy!!!

Purchased the kettle on the 30-05-11 after much searching (months) now find it has to be returned. We had been a bit concerned about the way it likes to dance on its base (dangerous) now this morning the lid refuses to shut luckily had kept my old kettle and used that instead. Very disappointed in Prestige such a brand name that failed to deliver. Beware before purchasing.

This now will have to be taken back to the store. Very disappointed that a known brand as Prestige failed to deliver, will not purchase another, will look at Lakeland's own band. Purchaser beware.
