Magimix 5200 Food Processor

Too big and heavy. Stopped using within weeks, even with it left on the worktop. Did not like the bowls altogther - had to wash all when using the smallest. Thank goodness for Lakelands no quibble refund.

After much deliberation and researching other processsors I decided to replace my 26 year old Magimix with a newer larger model. The old one works perfectly but I wanted a larger capacity and my daughter is delighted with the original! The new one was brilliant for my Jubilee cake of 12 eggs and the differently sized bowls are a great addition. I frequently use the smallest to make sauces and mayo and the other bowls remain completely clean.I cannot fault this product, worthe every penny and Lakeland guarantee is the icing on the cake!

I bought this because my old 3100 just wasn't up to the size of the family I have to cook for these days, and I am so impressed, whether it be breadmaking, pastry making, vegetable preparation, it saves so much time and effort, I am disabled and this has really taken a lot of the heavy manual labour out of cooking. Bravo....... I think everyone should have one

I used my old Magimix continuously for 24 years, and it was a wonderful machine. For many of those years, we were catering commercially, and it saved us endless hours and lots of work. Eventually, it was getting past using, and there was no doubt but that I'd replace it with another Magimix, hoping all the while of course that the company had maintained its standards.I needn't have worried - this new machine does everything the old one did, but more easily and more quietly. It's much more powerful, so no matter what it's mixing or squeezing, you feel it's never struggling.The old machine wasn't hard to clean, but this one is easier, washing it is a doddle.It mixes cakes, grinds nuts, makes breadcrumbs, squeezes fruit, mixes dough, makes pancake batter, slices, dices, blends and grates with minimum fuss.The spare blades come in a handy plastic box for easy storage, so you don't have to rummage in a drawer when you want to change attachments.I note one or two comments about the mixer being heavy to lift and store, but surely if you have a food processor, it's going to be in constant use, so why would you want to put it away in a cupboard? This machine will sit on my kitchen work surface, with its box of blades alongside it, so that it's immediately to hand for every job.I thoroughly recommend anyone thinking about buying a food processor to go for the Magimix. If this new machine lasts a half the time its predecessor did, I shall be well pleased. Full marks!
