I brought this mould as it looked really good. I was in no way disappointed. The cake has come out beautifully. The mould is easy to clean.
Read earlier reviews and followed advice for easy release of sponges - no problem there. But - the centre sponge was not cooked, quite runny. I baked another centre one on its own.
I used the mould for the first time today - as per instructions - and it did not turn out well. All of the segments stuck or broke when I turned them out. I left the cake to cool in the tin but it seemed damp when I took it out. The instructions said to reduce the cooking time but it wasn't cooked until the normal amount of time was up. The base of each cake did not look done. I will try again because I think it looks a nice product. Better luck next time???
We'll contact you to help with the flower cake mould.
I did everything the note said, washed it in dishwasher, let it dry, and greased it thoroughly before use...but every segment of my sponge got stuck. Is there something I missed? I used the remaining batter in an old fashioned tin lined with greaseproof paper and that was perfect!
Thanks for placing your review. Sorry for the disappointment. I'll be in touch shortly to help. I wonder if you let the moulds cool down before trying to release the sponge. This does help.
