Orka Silicone Oven Mitt With Lining

On a positive note, this glove (mitten) withstands heat well but is useless when you try to pick anything up. Neither my husband nor I can manage to grip anything smaller than a baked potato with it. The distance from the end of the inner glove to the outer silicone glove is too long. It is impossible to get hold of narrow items such as a baking tray unless it has a significant lip. I have given it one star as there isn't an option to award no stars.

I have purchased two of these oven gloves and they are fantastic, best thing I could have got. Have not burnt myself at all since I had them. Well worth the money.

Thought this glove would be stiff and inflexible. It doesn't bend as much as an ordinary glove but I have had no trouble holding a wide range of cooking dishes and pans. It does not let heat through and being silicone is easily wipeable if it gets food on it, unlike some fabric gloves which absorb food and then transfer heat through the glove and are difficult to get really clean. Like another reviewer I will be buying a second one and would agree it would be helpful to get replacement liners.

I have tried (and wasted money on) many oven gloves over the years that are either only partially effective or completely useless. The Orka looked a bit odd but I thought I'd try it. It's perfect - it grabs hold of anything no matter how hot and gives you an excellent grip. My only regret is I just bought one of them! I'm definitely going to get another and get rid of my other useless oven gloves. A great product!

These are the best mitts I have ever owned, the only thing I would like is a spare set of inner cotton mitts so when one set is drying I can still use the mitts. I have emailed the manufacturer but as yet they have not returned my email.
