Microplane® Herb Mill

I use a lot of herbs and previous graters have broken, bent or disintegrated. I am totally thrilled with this one. Yes, it is a bit fiddiley to take apart, put back together but works so well,and can go in the dishwasher. There is no clogging of soggy herbs like most graters, it all goes through. Quite expensive, but worth it

Despite the experience of another reviewer, I find this a doddle to clean. Once you have used it, dismantle it and run the parts under the tap. Then wash up as normal when ready to do so. Anything will be a pain to clean if it is not rinsed immediately and food has allowed to dry on it. Even so, a good soaking in hot soapy water will get rid of dried on ingredients.It does a good job and cuts finely, BUT you must ensure that the herbs are thoroughly dried after washing. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is because it would not suit someone with arthritic hands as you need to twist and push quite firmly.

I feel the same as "Bad buy" I have used the Herb Mill 3 times now, making sure that the herbs were dry, and each time have finished chopping the herbs up with my knife. I will also be returning this product.

Have a number of excellent microplanes and thought this would be a useful addition but I was wrong. Even the slightest drip of water on herbs makes them clog the blades. It is difficult to turn due to dodgy hands and equally difficult to clean. Will be returning item.

Well very easy does what is says and make quick work of the job BUT very difficult to clean the inside if herbs dry. If it was easy to clean would be indispensable but as it is likely to get disgarded. Wouldn't recommend
