"This book needs to be renamed...."

As other customers have already reported, this book relates very little to an actual tagine. While the photographs and descriptions are excellent, the recipes only require to be cooked in a saucepan or frying pan. We received this book along with one of Lakeland's fabulous tagines as a wedding present last weekend in good faith from friends, which is a shame as they had intended the book to be used alongside the tagine, and perhaps had not read of the reviews of others. We will certainly make use of both products, but sadly not in combination.

"VERY DISAPPOINTING INDEED"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

This book is not all about how to use your tagine or what to cook in it. Called 'Tagines' it claims to have 'over 50 recipes' and be 'your complete guide guide to tagine cooking'. What it doesn't tell you is the recipes aren't all using your tagine and as the book is sealed you don't discover that until you buy it. Even then you'll only find a handful of genuine tagine recipes. Save your money and research recipes on the internet where you will find what you are looking for. A very disappointing product from Lakeland. I wish I had read the other reviews before wasting my money.

"Confusing"

star star star_border star_border star_border

I received this book as a gift with t tagine, but although the tagine is fine, the book is not. There are very few recipes that use tagines and the ones that do give instructions to use a pan, rather than the tagine itself! What's the point of producing a tagine book when the recipes tell you to use a pan?!! I would like someone to tell me how I can use the tagine to make the tagine recipes please. All it requires is an overn temperature and over cooking time...

support_agent A note from the team

We're sorry that you've been disappointed with this book. Tagine is a ‘rich stew named after the distinctive pot in which it is traditionally cooked’. The recipes in the cookbook can be cooked using a traditional Tagine but if the customer do not have this, they could also use a normal casserole dish or pan. The recipes included in the book encompass a variety of North African style recipes including Tagines, starters and soups, salads and various accompaniments. We'll be in touch soon to help.
