"Slow cooker heaven"

Bought the slow cooker as a gift for my husband to help him learn how to cook(!) but tried it myself over the holidays and love it.The ability to brown off meat etc on the metal cooker and then go straight into the slow cooker is great time and cleaning saver. Recipes so far tested have tasted great, needing less spices etc but a more intense flavour. Lamb tagine and chilli con carne are fabulous, as was a whole pot roasted chicken. Some of the recipes in the book I bought do not appeal, but already confident enough to tweak them to our taste. Highly recommend.
