A compact opener with a can-do attitude. It couldn't be easier – pop the opener on top of a tin, press the button... and it works all by itself! It opens the tin, and a magnet keeps hold of the lid until you release it. What's more, it smooths the top of the tin so there are no sharp edges to worry about. With an easy to open battery compartment.

Loved this product until it suddenly stopped working. Thought it was the batteries so replaced them but nothing happened.

I have had THREE of these gadgets in the past and every one of them ended up stuck on a can which it did not open and could not be removed except by brute force. Totally useless, avoid at all costs. Only giving it one star because you have to rate it, but it should be minus 5.

I've been using this opener daily for almost a year and it's done sterling service so far. Very easy to use, efficient, leaves tins safe without sharp edges and best of all actually opens tins, unlike so many others! Haven't even had to replace battery yet. Excellent product, would recommend.
This would be great if it worked every time. But the opener seems to run out of steam between openings- so I was always fiddling with the little metal strip underneath to get it going again. Finally it got stuck half way round a can of tuna. And NOTHING would dislodge it. Fish oil everywhere, although I must say the dogs were pleased. I did think - perhaps I could enter this ensemble for the Turner Prize? But it went in the bin, still with the can attached.

Bought for my elderly parents who were having problems with tin opening. After spending 10 mins trying to open the battery compartment, we tried to open a tin, it seemed to struggle when half way round, and gave up. I left it with them to practise and after a week they gave up. I then took it home and after trying for 20 mins to open a can of tuna, I gave up too! We even changed the batteries x2. I returned it to the shop, no problem with Lakeland of course.
