"Well, I LOVE them!"

star star star star star_border

It's true they need more care than basic cutters, but then that was to be expected given the delicate points on some of the snowflakes. I rolled my dough out on non-stick baking paper (on the baking tray) and used a small paintbrush to ease out the finer points and then peeled away the excess dough. I used the picture on the website for guidance and iced them accordingly. They looked FABULOUS and I have never ever made cookies that impressed everyone quite as much. It would be nice to put a picture of the finished biscuits in the tin. Persevere with these, you will be rewarded!!!

"I'm sorry BUT"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

After years of shopping at lakeland I'm sorry but these just don't work. After many tries neither my wife or I just cannot get these snowflake (ninja death stars) to work properly. The shapes fall apart after cutting or the shape is lost during cooking even after extra chilling. Such a shame as they showed such promise and were chosen by our 8yr old who really wanted snow this Christmas.

We've asked our buyers for some advice, and they've passed on the following helpful info: First roll out the pastry. Then line your baking tray with baking liner or parchment that can be left in the oven during cooking (such as our magic non-stick liner or parchment-lined foil). Transfer the rolled out pastry to the lined tray and cut the shapes directly onto it, then remove the excess pastry. Thankyou for letting us know that you had trouble with the cookie cutters, we'll contact you to help.

"Too big & too fiddly"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I bought these cutters because I love snowflakes. However, once I'd got them out of the box (difficult), most of them were much too big to use, and even the smaller ones were very fiddly. The very intricate design has too many ins & outs, and it's very difficult to get the biscuit dough out without bits breaking off. When they're baked, all the fiddly bits become blurred anyway. They would be much more useful if they were smaller, with a bolder and simpler design. As I can't get them back in the tin, I'll have to use the cutters as Christmas decorations, once I've got the rust off.

"Not the most practical item..."

star star star_border star_border star_border

I was looking forward to using these but they fell short of my expectations on a number of points. The storage tin could do with being just a bit bigger. The cutters only just fit in, with quite a bit of fiddling about, and are not that easy to get out again. The larger cutters are really so huge that they are not that practical for cookies. They are also so intricate that it is easy for bits to get damaged when you are trying to move the cookies to the baking tray. Maybe I'll try them for cutting out different coloured icing for the tops of cakes but I won't be using them for cookies.

"Too big"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I bought these in preparation for Christmas celebrations. I am sorry to say they were very disappointing. The large one were far too big, with sharp points that either broke or would not release from the cutter. It would have been better if there had been more medium sizes cutters. I will only be using the smaller one's the others will be at the back of my cupboard.
