"What a Let Down...." star star star star_border star_border I agree with others. It says heat the oil then brown the meat, but the oil is incredibly hot & so spits and burns it. Then by adding the meat, the burnt taste remains in the sauce, which then has to be discarded. As a slow cooker it's fine. But the unique selling point of the product, is that you can do it all in one pot. Expensive for what it doesn't do very well!! support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. "Disappointed" star star_border star_border star_border star_border My daughter bought me this as a gift recently, I dislike it intensely. I find it cumbersome, not user friendly and could never match up to my trusty old slow cooker. I have tried several times using different ingredients, when browning (using a very low flame) everything either sticks or burns. I feel so guilty, as I do not know what to say to my daughter, or what I can now try to get to like this. Sadly an expensive, white elephant. I have to award 1 star as it will not allow me not to rate it. support_agent A note from the team We're sorry to learn you're having some difficulties with the flavour savour, and we'll contact you to put things right. "Wow" star star star star star Searched for nearly a year to replace my 10 year old Slow Cooker. I adored the design of stainless pan and base. Was still working well and used regularly until I managed to damage..........my fault, nothing wrong with the item.I tried a few and returned them until now...........but I LOVE this:1) Stylish. Bowl can be put of table (on mat) so excellent if entertaining.2) Excellent design. Wire curls up under base and plug fits into base when not in use. Then turn upside and store in the bowl.3) Bowl is enormous. I nearly returned due to the size (my original one had sizes of 4.5L as well as 6.5L). However hubbie persuaded me to keep as I can then do bigger joints etc. I can also make bigger casseroles etc as I usually tend to batch freeze some.4) Per receipe book can easily adapt given receipes to smaller quantities and advice give re cooking times.5) Used for a joint of brisket. Slow cooked. Gorgeous. Melt in the mouth.6) Bowl is lightweight. So easily moved if you do want to take to the table. Most other makes have the pot bowls and they are so heavy BEFORE you put anything in.7)Can use on the hob per instruction book. Loving it..............didn't think I could get anything to replace and match up to my much loved older version.............but I think this has exceeded my expectations. It is pricey but then if it lasts as long as my previous one it will be worth every penny:) support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review.
"Disappointed" star star_border star_border star_border star_border I have to agree with Patricia unfortunately. I bought a Flavour Savour just before Christmas and am very disappointed with it. I also find everything sticks and burns when using the browning facility as well as it being so hot that the fat sprays everywhere too. I also find that after I've added any thickening suggested in the recipe book that the food sticks and ends up burnt even in the last 30 minutes of cooking time. I have yet to cook a meal in it that hasn't burnt. I guess more stirring might help but that really defeats the object of using a slow cooker to me. support_agent A note from the team Thankyou for taking the time to review the flavour savour.
