I took one of these to my daughter's and made cupcakes with my granddaughters. I was so impressed with the results....fluffy and delicious. Now I'm going to have to buy another for myself!
I had a few reservations after reading some of the reviews, but I would say go ahead and give it a go. Its fantastic. I have now used it 4 days running doing different recipes and quantities each time, and each time they have come out perfectly. Yes they are pale on top, but I always ice mine so not a problem. If you just want a small batch use the recipe with the maker and you get 6 full sized cupcakes. But I have also used regular recipes and get 12 to 14 good sized cupcakes. I use the silicon cases so is fine for 12 cupcakes. Just keep 6 to the side while the 1st lot of 6 are cooking.
I have just received one of these as a gift and put it to use immediately. Results: * Lovely, light-textured cupcakes * Fast results * Better texture, with more 'spring' than cupcakes cooked in my oven. The tops are light in colour, but if decorated, does it really matter?! I doubled the recipe ingredients & made 6 'normal' sized cakes + 3 larger ones. The texture was the same in each batch. My personal choice - increase the ingredients & aim for slightly larger cakes. Overall - very impressive & certainly an energy saver. A batch is so quick & easy to make. A great machine!
Following the no-faff recipe in the booklet for vanilla cupcakes has produced excellent results. As I get used to the machine, I am making little variations from the basic recipe, but the great thing is that just making 6 at a time allows experimentation without too much fear of waste. A great little gadget!

I bought this a few months ago, it is absolutely fabulous, the buns are always perfectly cooked, beautifully risen and taste delicious, have used many different recipes too. I make them regularly for a group my husband is in and they almost mug him at the door for the buns. Unfortunately he knocked it off the worktop today and it broke so i am hot footing it to Meadowhall tomorrow as i can't manage without it. ingenious machine worth every penny.
