Lakeland Cast Iron Griddle Pan

Bought this to replace a griddle pan I had had for a long time, wanted something to last and have always had good products from Lakeland. However this pan is poor quality, it doesn't clean easily, also the enamel has blistered and come off both inside and outside of the pan, now looks awful. However Lakeland have shown exceptional customer service, they have given me a full refund, or I could have had a replacement, and they made it very easy for me to return the faulty pan free of charge. Thank you Lakeland efficient as ever.

I use a lot of cast iron but do not like nonstick so telephoned before buying to make sure it is not nonstick. I was assured it did not. However, when it arrived I could see it was too shiny to be proper cast iron. A further phone call and I was told that although not nonstick it has an enamel coating but I was not told this earlier. It was asked to try it rather than return immediately but now wish I'd gone with my gut and returned it before using. It just does not function as well as cast iron and is difficult to clean. Also I've never found a handle to heat up as much as this does. Unhappy.

I was very disappointed to discover that the handle of this pan gets very hot.Your description doesn't mention this,if it had,I would not have ordered it. Also the measurements are not very accurate. It states it is 24 cm square.Not so.The cooking area is 20cm.The outside rim to outside rim is 22cm although the middle outside rim to outside rim does measure 24cm. To me square means the same measurement all over!

I just wanted to say that although I was a bit unlucky with this pan, the customer service team is amazing! They made my Christmas. Swiftly helped and solved my issue, so that I can enjoy an amazing, good-quality and well-priced pan! Thank you Lakeland Team!

The pan is unfortunately not dishwasher safe and the handle gets hot during cooking. This information is mentioned in the packaging and I believe it should be included in the product description online. The size mentioned in the product description does not depict the actual cooking space, but the pan from end to end, making it tiny compared to previous pans I've owned or e.g. suitable for only one steak or two small ones, but e.g. chicken fajitas no way.
