Aren't funnels awkward to store once the preserving season's over? Not our silicone one – it folds to 2cm (¾") flat for storage, but expands to transfer home-made preserves into jars with no mess. Being heat-resistant to 260°C, it can take really hot jam straight from the pan, and unlike metal ones, won't become too hot to handle.
