What a neat little gadget! Giving an instant seal to fresh produce in its original packaging, it's a quick, inexpensive and really effective way to preserve freshness and flavour, as well as preventing food spills in the freezer.
We all wanted a go when we first saw the sample – looking like a stapler, just hold in place and guide it across anything from freezer bags and crisp packets to bags of salad and cereal, to give a watertight and airtight seal, like magic! So simple to use, the 'technical' bit is a pair of tiny pads, which heat up in seconds when pressed together, fusing the plastic closed.
With a magnet so you can keep it always to hand on the fridge, and a built-in bag opener.

This gadget works really well - I've used it to seal freezer bags and it made an excellent seal with a very neat edge. I couldn't get the first corner of the bag quite as neat as I had to leave a bit to hold onto while I pulled it through the sealer but the rest of it seemed to slide through very easily (almost like it wasn't working!). Highly recommended and much easier than ties.
I was disappointed to see so many people dislike this product. I think it's great! It's saved lots of space in my freezer as I no longer use chunky bag clips (which usually fall off and the peas etc scatter!) and items don't get full up of ice. You do need a little patience with it and my first one or two attempts weren't wonderful but now I wouldn't be without it! My husband laughs at me as I use it to tidy up and trim all sorts of bags. No more esca-peas!
such a handy thing to have in the kitchen, no more fiddly ties, sticky tape or clips that snap, now everything can get sealed quickly and easily, much more hygienic, brilliant for the freezer, no more escaping peas!
I purchased one of these a few years ago and they are AMAZING. My old one has been used so much it is getting a bit battered so will be phoning to order a few more. Its tricky trying to start it off right from the edge of the bag but I find it easier to start an then go back over the start piece of the bag to seal. As someone else said it is so much easier that having clumsy ties on the bags. LOVE IT. and if you are not sure you are covered by the lakeland guarantee but you wont be using it!!!!
Love this , Great for sealing open packets of nuts crisp packets and anything else that you want to re seal, I even use to to seal my sandwiches that i take to work much less clumpy than a clip or tying it. Just ordered some more for stocking fillers for friendsHave had no problem with seals , does cut very thin bags but again it seals them .
