Used these for the first time the other day on our kettle and they had it looking like new! Our kettle is only a couple of months old, but we live in a hard water area and the scale builds up very quickly. Will now be using these tablets monthly to prevent build up in the future.
I find that these tablets work well, but the packaging of the individual tablets is bad. I have sensitive skin, but I try in vain to get the tablets out while wearing gloves. The packaging is so tight that it is impossible to cut the tablets out, and I usually have to use my finger nails, something I would really rather not do with such a product. It would be better if the little packets were just a couple of millimetres bigger, so that I could cut the tablets out easily with scissors, and not have to wrestle with the things.

I have used normal satchets descalers before and never had any problem. This caused a major leak in my very expensive kettle! The bubbling descaler went everywhere on my kitchen counter and floor and corroded some of the varnish. What a disaster. Considering the price of these tablets, I was not happy.
We've checked this for you and for kettle use, it's recommended to fill the appliance up to the level of the scale, add 1-2 tablets per 1/2 litre of water then after they've dissolved heat the solution to no more than 50c to avoid the solution fizzing/boiling over. Allow to soak for approx.30 minutes then rinse thoughly with fresh water then discard the water.
