Our digitally controlled Steamer has seven preset cooking modes for different types of food, as well as an automatic keep-warm function for added flexibility. Having used various steamers over the years, this is definitely the best one. Easy to use and very easy to clean. The programme is easy to understand and I think the keep warm feature is a bonus. Thank you Lakeland
We have used this everyday since we bought it a few days ago. It is fantastic.The only thing I would say it would be helpful to have a guide to timings to steam vegetables, I know that is down to preference. The steamer is very quick to get to temperature. We looked at several steamers but decided you get what you pay for and it has not disappointed. We have just ordered a slow cooker from Lakeland so hopefully this will match the very high quality of this steamer.
We too have had 2 previous steamers which were less expensive and we wore out, so it was clearly time to buy something better. The base unit is well made and robust, my opinion is that if you simply want to steam cook, most of the cooking options are unnecessarily complex. The steaming trays come in 2 parts-Stainless steel and Plastic. The steel bases are OK but the plastic sides are Very Flimsy - poor quality. The trays come apart making serving tricky, and foods gets lodged in the tray bases. It works, but no better than cheaper models - not worth the extra money.

We had a metal steamer that had become inconsistent due to warping. I chose this steamer primarily because it has rice basket. Vegetables only take 10 mins and are consistently cooked. The rice basket cooks perfectly. On the negative side, we have to descale the metal heat source after each use. The trough for used water stained immediately. It is a faff to clean - using just 1 of the 3 levels means you have 5 things to clean. It is difficult to get all of the vegetables out without using your hands. Over all, if you can stomach the price it is a good buy.
Really was in two minds whether or not I was willing to pay so much for a steamer but decided in the end that the reviews made it seem worthwhile. I have just used it to cook our Sunday lunch vegetables - and they were perfect! Great colour, good texture, lovely taste and fast cooking time. What more could you want?
