My Kitchen Food Dehydrator

I am disappointed with this purchase as it only does one heat setting. It takes way too long to do fruit. The instructions are very poor, I even soaked the fruit before putting into the dehydrator. But after a few attempts I've given up. I am also disappointed in the quality and am surprised that Lakeland sell this item.

I brought this product a couple of weeks ago I've dried bananas in it and am now doing fruit leather in but I have to use baking parchment to line the trays so how about Lakeland making solid trays as an accessory for customers to buy. I am sure that a lot of customers would agree with me

It does take a long time to dry the fruit(apples in my case) but we do enjoy them, I agree with other reviews the 5 trays are very brittle, and quickly break. Replacement trays cost £10 each. The cost of the dehydrator is £49.99 . . So I feel I have to rate the product low because of the length of time it takes ,the flimsy trays and replacement cost even though I like the end result of dried apples.

I purchased this with the intention of dehydrating fruit and veg to have as tasty healthy treats for my dog who can't tolerate wheat or gluten. It takes a very long time to dehydrate not a lot of fruit. The main problem i have had with this is how flimsy and brittle the plastic stacking shelves are. Every one of them has cracked during washing up.

I bought the dehydrator with the intention of being able to preserve apricots, tomatoes etc that we grow here in Spain. However, after a couple of attempts at drying apples and bananas I had to abandon it. It took an awful long time to dry just a small amount of fruit and has been a great disappointment to both myself and my husband. In the past he has dried tomatoes and chilli peppers in the sun and we thought it would be perfect for year round drying. Alas, it is back in the box it arrived in. Very disappointing.
