"great idea just cant get it to work"

star star star_border star_border star_border

Like the other reviewer I thought that perhaps my garlic was a bit old hence it wouldn't peel properly. Tried a fresh clove and still didn't do a great deal. I've resorted back to using the flat side of a knife and having smelly garlic fingers again.

Thanks for your feedback. Our buyer has given some tips for using this: Peel one clove at a time. Make sure the clove is at the bottom of the garlic peel then place the garlic peel on its side on a flat worktop. Use the palm of you hand to roll the garlic up and down the surface. A couple of rolls up and down should be enough to remove the skin. If the clove falls out of the peel this is normally because the clove isn’t right to the bottom of the garlic peel. Thanks for your review, we hope this helps.

"Not a winner"

I had a Lakeland garlic peeler that was a simple cylinder, rather like the covering for the handle of a cricket bat. It worked really well. This new garlic shape does not work very well at all. It is easier to peel the cloves by hand. I agree with those reviewers who think it a waste of money.

"Disappointed"

Like your first reviewer I was very disappointed with the Garlic Peel. I thought maybe my garlic was a bit old so tried with a fresher clove but still it didn't remove the skin. Neat looking gadget but a waste of drawer space.

"The best new product I have used in ages!!!!"

I was a bit sceptical about whether this would work as well as I hoped, and I couldn't believe the results - it really is as easy as it looks, and couldn't work any better.I am a keen kitchen gardener, but last year I put some of my garlic in a bit late which resulted in some small cloves. As I had grown them myself I couldn't bear to throw them away so I used to spend ages peeling them. This is a godsend. Thanks Lakeland.
