Only just arrived, so can't comment on its durability, but so far seems great - and I got a bargain in the sale. Have seen similar models on this principle in up-market European designer home/cookshops - much more expensive of course!

Spend some time in the shop stroking the filaments - very soothing! Bought the smaller version because of cost. I love it! As well as the usual smaller knives and scissors, I keep two pronged onion holders in it and now no longer have speared fingers. I am saving up to buy the big version for my larger knives. How about a desk-top version, or a cosmetics version?
