Summer Picnic Slimline Quaddie Lunchbox

I bought this lunchbox for my daughter to use at school. She finds it fun to use but there are some drawbacks. Even the largest compartment is too shallow to hold an apple (perhaps I should have realised as the product is called slimline) however the overall box is so large that her lunchbag cannot hold anything else. The main compartment is very wide for child sized sandwiches so I have to wrap them in clingfilm to prevent them falling apart in transit. Therefore I use this box only occasionally and find that separate smaller boxes offer more flexibility.

This lunchbox is not as practical as it first seems, for either adult or child use. None of the compartments are deep enough for even a small satsuma, let alone an apple. I have since bought the square 'lunch plus' box which is smaller but deeper, and comes with a child's water bottle, making it a much more practical choice for children's lunch packs. I am now left with 2 useless lunch boxes as the cost of returning them is not worth the hassle.

I read the reviews and still bought three of these boxes for my daughters because they (and I!) loved the design so much. How dinky to have all those little compartments?! They were under strict instructions to treat them carefully and they have but... already the top lids of the boxes have cracked and there is now a big crack on the main part of the other one. So, I was too optimistic and the three boxes were a waste of money! Such a shame as the design premise is so good but the materials (and depth of the main box) just lets it down completely. 5* for design, 1* for quality.

very difficult to wash and dry and two of my lids have snapped, good concept but not at all user friendly.
