Lakeland Odour Removing Stainless Steel Reusable Soap

Magically free your hands of unpleasant food odours such as garlic, onion or fish just by rubbing your hands on this bar of Stainless Steel 'Soap' under cool running water. Being made from stainless steel, it'll never run out, and it even comes with a holder on a suction pad so you can keep it close to hand by the sink.
How Does it Work?
Stainless steel can attract certain molecules such as sulphur and it's these molecules that are transferred to your hands when chopping garlic or onions. When you use the stainless steel soap bar these molecules then bind to the stainless steel rather than your skin therefore removing them and their associated smell.

I love fresh garlic but I've always hated the smell it leaves on your hands afterwards - so much so that I'd just resorted to buying 'lazy garlic'. But this really does the trick, it completely removes the smell. Don't know why I didn't buy one sooner.
I have used these 'soaps' before and find them very effective. The suction cup just doesn't work. I didn't return the item, as I am happy to have the 'soap' in the cupboard. Item minus holder would probably cost less, so may be better option. It would appear that you have to find exactly the right part of a flat surface for the suction to work. The holder has now been attached inside the cupboard door for a few days, just in slightly different place from before.

I have been months deciding whether to invest in this or not and finally in November I bought it. Unfortunately after just 2 months of use the suction pad to hold it in place on the wall no longer sticks... despite cleaning it thoroughly and the kitchen tiles too it will only stay stuck for a matter of minutes and that's even without the steel soap in it. One of the reasons I bought this was the fact that I liked the holder to keep the soap neat and tidy, now I have to just leave it in a drawer where it gets forgotten about........such a shame!

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. I wish it worked, but it just didn't. The last I saw of it was in a bag due for the charity shop. I'm surprised that Lakeland still sell them- I guess a lot of people don't bother taking them back as they're quite cheap anyway. Using soap for half the time is twice as effective...

I bought this soap as I had just enjoyed some smoked salmon and eggs on toast, then spent hours trying to get the fish smell out of my hands.I had this again last night and tried it, it didn't work, I tried the soap under cold, lukewarm and hot water. I also tried it tonight and for double the time, none of the smell went.Really disappointed, maybe it works for some odours but not for smoked salmon.
