Metaltex Rotary Mill

I was looking for something like this for ages and was delighted when I found this. However there is a serious design flaw, when your grating the cheese/whatever clumps get stuck at the edges of the handle and you physically have to poke them out, as it stops the handle coming down completely and when you put these little clumps back in to grate them, they do the same thing again. Rather sad as this would have been perfect.

I was very disappointed in this product. It is difficult to hold while pressing hard enough and it never grates all the cheese placed in it. Fortunately I had not thrown away my previous metal grater. Even though the plastic handle has fallen off it still works far better than the Metaltex one. I wish I had read the other reviews before purchasing it from one of your shops. I would give it no stars but this is not an option

I purchased this from the Cambridge store so didn't read the online reviews. This is truly the worst rotary grater I have ever used! It is very sturdy and looks capable of the job however with the arm being removable it has a tendency to fall off A LOT whilst grating and if the arm doesn't fall off the knob on the arm comes off in your hand instead. As for grating (for the short periods of time everything stays attached!) it copes with Parmesan well but not carrots or softer cheeses - I have only used this 3 times and I cannot bear to use it again - what a shame :-(

I bought this without - stupidly - reading the reviews first. The teeth haven't got enough bite to grate walnuts, it makes a lot of waste. Impossible to put enough pressure on the handle. The cylinder container is a complete waste of space. If a product has so many bad reviews, why is it still sold online?

This product is absolute rubbish. It will only grate tiny amounts of cheese, it grates too finely, and it is extremely messy to use. I have now taken mine to the charity shop. Very disappointing. I have to give it a star rating. I award it no stars at all.
