"A good little machine at a good price"

star star star star star

This was a Christmas present from my husband and after reading the reviews here I nearly didn't chose this one. Really glad I did, it does an excellent job. It grinds the coffee well, is easy to use, has a small footprint and is easy to clean - the brush works well and a quick wipe of the bowl with a damp cloth removes any residue remaining. I do find that when grinding 1-2 cups worth of beans I need to use the 4-6 cup setting to get the fineness of grounds I want but to be fair it does say in the instructions that settings will need to be varied according to the beans and personal taste.

"No problem"

Had this small machine for over a year now and don't have a problem with it. Find the brush easy to use and the lid very easy to get on although it does turn the opposite way to i would expect. Great little machine.

"Not impressed"

I was very disappointed with this product. It was a real pain to keep clean and didn't perform as well as I had hoped so I took it back and exchanged it for the Krups version which is super.

support_agent A note from the team

We're sorry to learn that the DeLonghi coffee grinder didn't work out for you. Thanks for letting us put things right. We're glad you like the Krups machine!

"Bought one week, returned the next"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I bought this on a Thursday to replace an old grinder that had finally given up its ghost. I took it back to Lakeland the following Tuesday (no quibbles, they took it back) because I believe it is not fit for purpose. It was difficult to fit the interlocking lid correctly, the ON button on top was very difficult to press, and worst of all, it ALWAYS left about half a scoop of beans only very coarsely ground in the bottom. Attempts to regrind these partially ground beans always failed, because there is too much space between the blades and the bottom of the cup. Since I bought it for grinding espresso, this wasn't much use. I bought the more expensive Krups grinder instead - it's much better than this. This might be OK if what you want is a nut grinder for coarsely chopping nuts.

"Appears to be defective?"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

Very difficult to use, lock does not want to engage without considerable pressure. Have spoken to Customer Services and am returning it. Assume it is defective, but have asked you to test one yourself and see. Also, the cleaning instructions are less than helpful. They supply pretty little brush to brush out container. This builds up a static charge and it's almost impossible to actually get the residue out of the container. As the manufacturers say do not wash this component one will never be able to get it clean!
