Lakeland 800ml Square Store & Save

I have been using the Lock n Lock storage containers for many years and was really pleased when Lakeland brought out their own version. I purchased the square storage container but found that once it had been through the top tray of the dishwasher I could not lock the flaps into place. I returned it to the Lakeland shop and was given a replacement. The same thing has happened to the second container. I cannot use it because the flaps do not close.

Having been an avid fan of other airtight self locking containers I was keen to give yours a try. However the lids are extremely difficult to open and even more difficult to shut. As I live 35 miles away returning the item was not viable. I am very disapponinted as your goods are usually so good.

It seems that I am not alone in having problems closing the lid now the unit has been through a dishwasher. In fact I cant close it at all now! I use many other versions of these storage units and never had this issue. There appears to be an inherent manufacturing/standards problem with the square ones.

I purchased three for two of the above square containers for use in my freezer. I used them for the first time today to fill with apple I had cooked and could not seal any of the lids. My husband had to put full body weight on to them to close. What a waste of money, wish I had stuck to lock and lock - even if they are dearer.

I thought you needed to be Superwoman to close these boxes!Get a seal to close and another pops open.I have had similar boxes before and had no problems.Very sad!.
