Product number: 13809

Welcome to the world of Wonder Cooker. Set to revolutionise the way you cook, it's so versatile – you may never need to switch on your oven again! Roasting, grilling, steaming, shallow frying, slow cooking or sautéing; there's nothing this compact marvel can't do. Big enough to feed the whole family from its 7.6 litre non-stick pot, you can roast a whole chicken with vegetables, slow cook a casserole, sauté some juicy prawns or steam crunchy vegetables.

There's just one easy-read dial to control everything – put in your food, turn the dial and relax until your perfectly cooked meal is ready to enjoy. With a basket for flash-frying and a rack for steaming or keeping food warm, it redefines one-pot cooking. If that's not enough, the bowl can go in the dishwasher afterwards for easy clean-up.

"Handy Little Cooker"

After seeing this on a TV shopping channel we decided to go for it from Lakeland who we have bought from in the past and so know of the great after sales care. It does more or less what it says, you do need to be careful if you cook your meat in a bit of water like we do as it can overflow if on the roasting setting, we have done stews, chops, bacon and sausage etc. The only negative I will give is the lack of a recipe book, so its just trial and error but lots of fun to be had learning.

"Wonder Cooker"

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend as he has very limited cooking facilities and the halogen cooker he had been using very successfully had broken. This appeared to be equally as versatile, eg fry, roast, grill etc. I was very disappointed to receive the following email from him: "Had another go at using the 'wonder' cooker yesterday. If this is British ingenuity I will be buying wood chips and gasoline to cook my next meal. No glossing over it, it cooks in a fashion but the name says it all. It's called 'wonder' cos you wonder if it can cook your food."The roasting and grilling it claims to do are beyond both of us, the instruction leaflet is vague and does not help in the least. The only thing it seems to be good for is stirfry and hes sick of that now! Not my best buy, I wish Id stuck with the halogen product.

when i first purchased this product i thought i had made a dreadful mistake but after doing some research on the web ive realised how good it is and fast! i think people are having probs with the roast function the trick is to start on roast to brown and then turn down to saute/grill function it works a treat i am very pleased with the wonder cooker its well worth a try.

I also am a little disappointed with the recipes sent with the cooker. Are we going to be able to purchase the recipe book you talk about new?

The recipe leaflet is available on the website underneath the description for the wondercooker.

"I 'Wonder""

I already own a standard Remoska, which is a dream to use and debated between buying the grand Remoska or the Wonder Cooker as I find myself cooking for larger numbers. I eventually purchased the Wonder Cooker and what a mistake! I have tried to grill (it doesn't) and just today started to roast a large chicken. The bottom of the bird burnt within a couple of minutes and I had to transfer it into the main oven to roast. This item is really a glorified version of the Multi Cooker and there is nothing 'wondrous' about it at all.
