"It's still shiny!" star star star star star I've used this several times to roast veggies & meat & I am really impressed with it. It hasn't warped or buckled, food has not stuck to it (not even the roast potatoes which I had forgotten about whilst gardening - oops) & I am very pleased that it is so very easy to clean by hand. It's not often things stay shiny & new looking in this house.I'm so impressed I intend to buy the rest of the range.
"Disappointed" star star star star_border star_border I was very excited to find that Lakeland was stocking roasters which could be used on an induction hob. I used this for the first time roasting a piece of pork which cooked fine and then tried to make the gravy in the roaster on the hob, which is where I found a problem. The heat on the raised section of the base caused the liquid covering that area to evaporate away very quickly whilst the juices in the outer 'moat' had not had time to heat up and deglaze properly. As anyone with an induction hob knows, you can't tilt a pan as the base has to be in constant contact with the hob for it to work, so I had to continually add stock to protect the raised area which meant that I was diluting the gravy more than I wanted to - overall not a successful outcome. So the roaster worked well in the oven but disappointing on the hob. A completely flat base would be much better. Also, the dimensions given for this product (35 x 26 cm/ 13.75" x 10.25") are external measurements, but because of the sloping sides and wide rim, the usable internal space in this roaster is much less - more like 30 x 23 cm at the top (12" x 9") and 27 x 19 cm in the base (10.75" x 7.5") support_agent A note from the team I'm sorry to learn that you'd been disappointed with the roaster and your comments, about the shape of it will be passed on. We'll be in touch shortly.
