Lakeland Hard Anodised 16cm Lidded Saucepan

I bought a set of these saucepans for my new induction hob and have been delighted with them. They are a good weight, nicely balanced, easy to clean (by hand) and they look good. I had wondered if the metal handles would get hot to hold but have found them fine. The slit in the lids provides an easy escape for steam without having to balance the lid partly off the saucepan. I spent a long time choosing between these and other makes but am very pleased with the choice I made.

This item is one of the set we bought, They seemed to be a good quality, now we have had them for a while we have noticed a few problems which we are keeping a watchful eye on. The non stick is questionable! Dishwasher safe? the outside of the pans are starting to loose there colour and look very sorry themselves. I think when they get to 12 months old they will look like they have been put through the clothes washing machine.

I bought these in June and am very disappointed with them. The handles on the lids get very hot and the handles slip very easily when trying to drain the contents. The base seems too heavy so there is a tendency for the saucepan to swivel when tipping the contents. I thought it was just me but my husband finds them very difficult to work wiíth.

I have been looking for a non stick saucepan for an induction hob for a long time so was pleased to find this one. However, I have 3 complaints about this product: a) it was incredibly slow on induction hob. b) the milk burnt solid onto the bottom of pan c) The handle is so badly designed it slipped in my hand. My husband also tried to hold the pan and pour from it and agrees the handle is very slippy. I received a total refund today from a concerned assistant but feel others should be aware of this product which is not cheap.
