Lakeland Power Blender

I do all all the cooking and this was a birthday gift, not cheap but it appeared to be good quality - it does have the Lakeland name - so I was horrified when, on only its second outing, it started to emit acrid smoke from the base. Didn't finish my soup before it gave up the ghost entirely! I read the instructions: don't use for more than a minute; cool ingredients to room temperature; use on a dry, flat surface; etc., etc.! And I followed them to the letter! I see that mine is not the only poor report, and that the faults are similar in other reviews. Maybe Lakeland need to review it!

This is my second blender now ... And it's just gone up in smoke !! First one lasted for a lot more uses than this ... Around 20 times but the black plastic surrounding the blades crumbled into my smoothie !! Sent back excellent service and onto my second . I've used it about 10 times again solely for smoothies and it's just gone up in smoke ... Making breadcrumbs for the first time !! Scary !! It does look fantastic and is a very powerful machine but for the little amount of time I have used it, it just hasn't lasted. A real shame :(

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I love it, I've made soups, breadcrumbs and mixed ingredients together. I have no problems with it. I understand some might find it heavy but whilst in the shop buying in the sales assistant insisted that we tried lifting it so we knew what to expect. Cleaning it is easy. All in all I think it will be much used in out house. Oh yes and the children love the smoothies!

My boyfriend got me this blender as a christmas gift this christmas just gone. I have only used it twice and on second time seems there is a fault with the motor as now it will not work. I followed the instructions and was only making soup I also watched the video to make sure that I done everything right. I am now disapointed as I was looking forward to making homemade soups and smoothies. Instead my byfriend has to now take this blender back to the shop. This is very poor quality and its a shame as it looks lovely and its good that it comes with a glass jug and has six settings.

Purchased a couple of years ago. From the start I noticed that dry food tended to clog and not fall into the blades. We have not used it very much since new, but the blades have become loose, unusable, and leak. The screw-on base of the jug tends to work it's way loose. All in all, we are very disappointed.............................. Since writing this review I have received a full refund, which is much more than I expected as I no longer had the receipt. This doesn't change my opinion about the Blender, but I must say "Excellent After Sales Service Lakeland." Many thanks.
