I bought this mixer to replace a really old hand mixer that finally gave up the ghost.Wasn't sure what to expect for the price but have used it a lot and I would recommend it to anyone.It works really well and is easy to clean too.All the cakes have turned out beautifully.I'm really pleased with it
I agree with the comments about the speed of the mixer; it's just a tad too fast at first but that's the only small snag; it's a very good mixer for the price - certainly compared with other over-priced mixers on the market.

My aunty bought this mixer for herself. She said she specificaly bought from you as you are such a great company for customer and after-sales service. She said the mixer is great, but the only problem she has is that the wire comes out of the right hand side. She is left handed, so the wire gets in the way, and she has to make sure she holds it out of the way. Not a huge problem, but something worth remembering for the future. It's great, but just not ideal for 'lefties'! I said I would feed this back to you, otherwise, how would you know?!

I have been using this mixer for about a year now and am pleased with it. I didn't want to spend a huge amount, this has proved to be very good for the price. I agree with previous reviewers that it would be better if the first speed was a bit slower, you need to use a large bowl to prevent dry ingredients flying all over the kitchen. It is annoying for me as a left hander that the wire comes out on the right hand side and I have also found that it is easy to accidentally knock the speed knob onto a faster setting when holding it in your left hand.
I'd had my old mixer for 32 years but finally it failed me. I immediately turned to my old friend, "Lakeland" and bought the Hand Mixer. It is nice to hold and to use. Not quite so heavy as my old one. Not too noisy. But the 1st speed is a little fast although I should soon get used to it. It is efficient for beating eggs and batters. I haven't tried a cake mix yet. I'm pleased with it anyway.
